Chewing Gum That Actually Works For Gross Breath?

Chewing gum just makes my jaw ache, so I totally relate to ditching it.

I get where you're coming from, but I actually think rinsing with water or eating apples only helps a little with garlic breath. The sulfur compounds in garlic get absorbed into your bloodstream and lungs, so even if your mouth feels clean, you can still exhale that smell for hours. I’ve found that using a tongue scraper plus a rinse with zinc-based mouthwash works better than mints or gum. It’s not perfect, but it seems to reduce that lingering aftertaste more effectively than just masking it.
