Fresh breath hacks: flossing with a twist?
One thing that really helped me with both bad breath and gum issues was switching to floss picks soaked in mouthwash instead of just regular floss. Sounds a little extra, but honestly, it feels super fresh and I swear my gums bleed less now. Anyone else have weird-but-effective tricks for keeping your mouth happy? Curious if there’s something I’m missing...

- Gotta admit, I never thought to soak floss picks in mouthwash. That’s next-level.
- Here’s my weird thing: I use a water flosser with a bit of diluted hydrogen peroxide (like, super diluted). Feels intense but my hygienist says my gums look way better.
- Also, tongue scraper every morning. Gross but satisfying.

- same here after switching up my routine. Guess it’s all about finding what actually works for your mouth.“feels super fresh and I swear my gums bleed less now”
I tried the hydrogen peroxide thing once, but I got a little too enthusiastic and ended up tasting it for hours... not my best move. My dentist side-eyed me when I mentioned it, but my gums did stop bleeding as much. Tongue scraping is a must, though - grossest part of my routine, but weirdly satisfying, like peeling sunburn (sorry, TMI). Never thought about soaking floss picks in mouthwash - might have to steal that one.

Totally get you on the tongue scraping - never thought I’d actually look forward to it, but here we are. Tried the hydrogen peroxide rinse too and yeah, that aftertaste lingers... I found switching to saltwater was gentler for my gums. The mouthwash-soaked floss trick is genius, though. Makes me feel like I’m getting a mini deep clean between dentist visits.
