"Might give the tea tree-coconut oil combo another shot, despite the taste trauma last time..."

Haha, yeah, tea tree oil can be pretty intense flavor-wise. If you're open to trying again, maybe start with a smaller amount and gradually build up? I've had patients find success mixing just a tiny drop into their regular toothpaste or rinseβ€”still effective but way less overwhelming. Worth a shot if you're brave enough to revisit that taste!

Yeah, tea tree oil definitely packs a punch flavor-wise. Tried it myself once and felt like I'd gargled mouthwash mixed with pine needlesβ€”never again, haha. But the coconut oil combo sounds interesting...does it actually help with gum issues or just freshens breath temporarily? I've mostly stuck with saltwater rinses when things get irritated, since minty stuff sometimes feels too harsh. Curious if anyone's noticed longer-lasting benefits from tea tree or coconut oil compared to regular rinses. Might reconsider giving it another go if there's a noticeable difference.
