I felt the same way after my own surgery—honestly, it’s easy to feel like you’re overdoing it, but I’d rather be too careful than risk an infection. Did you find any instructions that were hard to follow, or stuff that just didn’t seem necessary? I remember thinking the ice packs were pointless at first, but they actually made a big difference for me. Sometimes you just have to trust your gut.

The ice packs thing totally got me too—I thought it was just overkill at first, but honestly, it helped with swelling way more than I expected. I always get nervous about skipping steps, even the ones that seem minor. For me, rinsing with salt water felt kind of unnecessary at first, but then I noticed it really did help keep things cleaner. Still, sometimes those instructions feel like a lot all at once...

Yeah, I felt the same way about the salt water rinse—seemed pointless until I actually tried it. It ended up making my mouth feel a lot cleaner. Honestly, I skipped a step once and got a minor infection, so now I just stick with the routine even if it feels like overkill. Those instructions can be a pain, but I guess they're there for a reason...

I totally get where you're coming from. I used to think the rinses were just another thing to remember, but after my wisdom teeth removal, I skipped a couple days and ended up with some swelling and soreness that took forever to settle down. Now I just do it, even if it feels like a hassle. It’s weird how the little things actually make a difference... Guess those post-op instructions aren’t just for show.

That’s actually kind of reassuring to hear, since I always worry I’m being too careful about rinsing and stuff. Did you have trouble eating normal food while you were healing? I’m still nervous about messing something up, so I stick to soft foods way longer than they say... Not sure if that’s overkill or just being safe.
