"Cold rinses are great, but personally, I found lukewarm saltwater rinses to be the sweet spot."

Totally agree about lukewarm saltwater—it was my go-to after my graft too. Weirdly enough, spicy foods seemed to prolong my discomfort...anyone else notice certain foods making things worse?

Lukewarm saltwater was decent for me too, but weirdly enough, cold stuff actually made things worse. Ice cream and smoothies sounded great in theory, but every time I tried them, the cold triggered more throbbing. Ended up sticking mostly to room-temp soups or mashed potatoes for a few days...guess everyone's mouth reacts differently? Glad that's over with now though.

Yeah, cold sensitivity can be pretty common after procedures like bone grafts. Did your dentist mention anything about avoiding extreme temperatures? Glad you're past the worst of it now though...sounds rough.

My daughter had a bone graft last year, and yeah, the cold sensitivity was pretty intense for her too. Dentist did mention avoiding ice-cold drinks and foods for a while, but honestly, even room temp water seemed to bother her at first. We ended up sticking mostly to lukewarm soups and teas for about two weeks. It was stressful seeing her uncomfortable, but it gradually improved. Maybe try keeping everything closer to body temperature for now—it might help ease things a bit... Hang in there, it does get better eventually.

Yeah, sensitivity after a bone graft can be pretty rough at first. Usually, the nerves are extra irritated from the procedure, so even room temp stuff feels chilly. Lukewarm is definitely the way to go—think Goldilocks, not too hot, not too cold...just right. It does ease up gradually though.
