My kiddo is all about the blended soups too—anything with chunks or chewy bits is a hard no for a couple days after tightening. I totally get the “teeth tasered” thing with cold stuff, though. It’s wild how different textures hit people differently. Do you find things like mashed potatoes or yogurt easier, or is it just the super smooth stuff that feels okay? I’m always second-guessing what’s going to set off a complaint at dinner...

That’s been my experience too. After a tightening, mashed potatoes are usually okay, but even yogurt can feel weird if it’s too cold. It really is a guessing game sometimes... you’re definitely not alone.

Yeah, that’s real. I swear, one week ice cream is fine, next week it’s like chewing glass (except... not chewing). Also, bread is hit or miss for me—sometimes it’s soft, sometimes it’s just a jaw workout. No logic to it.

Totally get what you mean about bread—sometimes I’d look at a sandwich and just nope out. My weirdest one was with apples. I used to love them, but after tightening, even thin slices felt like biting into bricks. Did anyone else have foods that just randomly turned into “nope” territory for a while?

Pasta was my “nope” food for ages after a tightening. It’s supposed to be soft, right? But even noodles felt like chewing on rope when my teeth were sore. I remember just giving up halfway through dinner one time... mashed potatoes became my new best friend. Apples are brutal though—I totally get that.
