It’s honestly wild how much time I spend thinking about what I can actually eat now. I’ve had braces for almost a year, and I still get nervous with certain snacks—popcorn especially. One stray kernel and it feels like my whole mouth is out of commission. Cheese sticks have been a lifesaver, though. I tried dried fruit once, thinking it was healthy, but wow… that stuff is basically glue in there. At this point, I just stick to soft things and hope for the best.
