I thought baby carrots would be the safest snack, but I managed to chip a molar on one last year. Didn’t even think that was possible. Now I chew everything like I’m handling explosives... Maybe it’s just my luck, but “healthy” snacks keep surprising me.
Carrots got me once too—cracked a filling right down the middle. Felt ridiculous, honestly. You’d think something so “healthy” would be a safe bet, but nope. I’ve also had a run-in with almonds... thought I was being smart swapping chips for nuts, but those things are like little rocks. Now I cut up everything, even grapes sometimes if they’re firm.
It’s funny how much more cautious you get after a dental mishap. Still, I try not to let it scare me off from eating what I like—just take it slow and chew on the “good side.” Accidents happen, but we keep going.
