Honestly, I used to think gum wipes were just another way for companies to get into our wallets, but after a couple of those mango incidents (how does it get so sticky?!), I caved. That said, I’ve actually had better luck with a plain damp washcloth—cheaper, reusable, and my kid liked gnawing on it when her gums were sore. I don’t think there’s any real magic in the wipes unless your baby’s got specific sensitivities. About fruit... blueberries were our disaster fruit. Purple everywhere, and she’d lose her mind if I tried to clean her up mid-snack. Teething really is just survival mode half the time.
