As for losing the case, I’ve had mine turn up in the oddest places... coat pockets, even the fridge once.

Wait, the fridge? That actually made me laugh—now I’m worried I’ll do the same. I keep checking my bag like every five minutes because I’m so paranoid about losing mine. Is there a trick to remembering where you put it, or is it just something you get used to over time?

Also, about the aftertaste thing—I switched tablets twice already and still can’t decide if it’s just me being sensitive or if some brands really are worse. Did you notice a big difference right away when you swapped? Or did it take a while for your mouth to adjust? I can’t tell if I’m overthinking it or if this is just normal.

Last thing—does anyone else feel like their teeth are always “coated” after cleaning? Not sure if I’m rinsing wrong or what. This whole process is way more complicated than I expected.

Losing the case is almost a rite of passage, honestly. I tried keeping mine in the same spot every day, but that only works until you get distracted. I ended up attaching a bright keychain to make it harder to miss—might be worth a shot if you’re worried.

About the aftertaste, I think it’s not just in your head. Some cleaning tablets definitely leave more of a weird film than others. When I switched brands, I noticed a difference right away, but my mouth did get used to it after a week or two. The “coated” feeling is pretty common, especially if you don’t rinse the aligners or your mouth thoroughly after cleaning. Maybe try an extra rinse or even brushing the aligners gently—just watch out for scratching them. It does get less complicated as you settle into the routine, but yeah, it’s a learning curve.

- Keychain idea is genius, wish I'd thought of that before my case vanished into the abyss under my car seat.
- The aftertaste is real. I switched to just brushing mine with a soft toothbrush and water—less weirdness, but yeah, takes a bit to get used to.
- Honestly, I still forget where I put them sometimes. Aligners are like socks... always wandering off.

That cracked me up—my kid’s aligners have somehow ended up in the fridge, the backyard, and once even in a toy bin. I swear, they’re sneakier than socks. Honestly, I’m not a fan of the aftertaste either, but we found those little cleaning crystals make it less gross for her. Still, nothing beats just plain water and a toothbrush when she’s in a rush. The keychain case is honestly a must if you’ve got a forgetful kid (or parent).

My teen managed to lose her aligners at a sleepover—found them stuffed in a pillowcase two days later. I’m convinced they have legs. About the aftertaste, I actually think the crystals help a bit, but my daughter says they leave a weird smell. She prefers a quick rinse and brush too, even if it’s not “officially” recommended. The keychain case is smart, but honestly, she forgets that almost as much as the aligners... Not sure there’s a perfect system unless you glue them to their hands.
