I chipped my front tooth a couple years ago and got bonding done. It looked great at first, but now it's starting to look a bit worn down and discolored. Is this normal after just two years or did I get a bad job done? Curious what others' experiences have been...

Mine lasted about three years before I noticed some discoloration and wear, so two years doesn't seem too far off. Did your dentist mention anything about avoiding certain foods or drinks? Mine warned me coffee and tea could stain it faster, and honestly, I probably didn't listen enough... Maybe that's part of the issue? I don't think it's necessarily a bad job, bonding just doesn't last forever. Are you thinking of getting it redone or trying something else?

Mine lasted about four years, but honestly, by year two it was already looking a bit sketchy. My dentist gave me the same coffee/tea warning, but I figured life without coffee wasn't worth living, haha. I did start using a straw for iced coffee thoughβ€”felt ridiculous at first, but it actually helped slow down the staining. Eventually, I switched to veneers because I got tired of the upkeep. Bonding's decent, but it's definitely not forever.
