Safest way to clean bonding along the gumline?

I have cosmetic composite bonding along the gumline of my front teeth. I use a soft-bristled toothbrush twice daily, floss, and occasionally use interdental brushes. I’m also considering whitening, but I’m unsure whether it could affect the bonding or make the natural tooth and composite look different.
One edge feels slightly rough, and I’ve noticed a little staining near the gumline. There’s no major pain, but the gum sometimes bleeds when flossing. Should I change my cleaning technique or tools, and when would roughness, bleeding, sensitivity, or new discoloration need a dentist to check it?
