Dish soap and vinegar work great for a lot of stains, but have you tried baking soda paste? Just mix baking soda with a bit of water until it's thick, smear it onto the stain, and let it dry completely before washing. Helped me get rid of some stubborn tea stains on my favorite sweater. Also, doesn't vinegar sometimes leave a lingering smell even after washing? Or is that just me...

Doesn't baking soda sometimes leave a gritty residue, though? I'm always worried it'll scratch my fabrics, especially delicate sweaters. And yeah, vinegar's smell definitely lingers... reminds me of salad dressing every time I wear the shirt afterward, haha. Any tips to avoid that?

I've totally been there with the salad dressing vibes, haha. Honestly, if you give your clothes an extra rinse after using vinegar, the smell fades pretty quick. And baking soda's usually gentle enough—just dissolve it fully first to avoid that gritty feel. Works wonders for me!

Haha, yeah, vinegar can be a lifesaver, but honestly, I just can't deal with that initial salad-bar aroma. Maybe my nose is too sensitive or something...but I've found hydrogen peroxide to be my secret weapon for tough stains (especially those mysterious kid-related ones—seriously, how do they even happen?). Just dab it on gently and let it sit for a few minutes before washing. It's gentle enough not to damage fabrics but strong enough to tackle most stains without leaving any funky smells behind.

Also, totally agree about dissolving baking soda first—learned that one the hard way after my favorite shirt ended up feeling like sandpaper. Lesson learned! But yeah, peroxide has been my go-to lately. Give it a shot sometime if you're feeling adventurous.

I've never tried peroxide for clothing stains, interesting idea. Usually, I keep a bottle handy for minor cuts and scrapes—never thought about laundry uses. I get what you mean about the vinegar smell though, it definitely lingers longer than I'd like sometimes.

Haha, tell me about it...I swear my grandkids manage to find new ways to stain clothes every single visit. Juice, mud, crayons—you name it, they've stained it. I usually rely on baking soda paste or a bit of dish soap, but peroxide sounds promising. Does it work well on older stains too, or just fresh ones?
