Okay, confession time—I drink coffee like it's water. Seriously, it's probably unhealthy at this point, but hey, we all have our vices, right? Anyway, I've noticed lately my teeth aren't exactly sparkling white anymore. They're not terrible, but definitely not as bright as they used to be. I've tried those whitening toothpastes, but honestly, I don't think they're doing much. And giving up coffee is just...not happening, lol.
Has anyone found something that actually works to keep teeth from getting stained without having to ditch coffee or tea? Maybe some kind of rinse or a specific toothpaste brand that's actually effective? Or maybe some little trick or habit you do after drinking coffee? I'm open to pretty much anything at this point, short of quitting caffeine altogether.
Honestly, whitening toothpastes are mostly hype imo. I started using a metal straw for coffee (weird at first, I know...) and rinsing with water right after. Seems to help a bit. Anyone tried oil pulling—is it legit or just another trendy thing?

Tried oil pulling for a couple weeks once... felt like I was swishing salad dressing around my mouth every morning. 😂 Honestly, didn't notice much difference in whiteness, but my gums did feel healthier somehow. Could've been placebo though.
Metal straw for coffee sounds interesting—might give that a shot. I've been rinsing with water after coffee too, and it definitely helps more than those whitening toothpastes ever did. Also, weird tip: crunchy veggies like carrots or celery seem to help scrub stains off a bit. Not a miracle cure, but hey, every little bit counts when you're not giving up coffee anytime soon...
