Grass stains really can be stubborn, can't they? My grandkids come back from soccer practice like they've been rolling around the whole field. Your vinegar and baking soda tip is spot onβ€”I've used something similar myself. Another thing that's helped me is rubbing a bit of dish soap directly onto the stain before soaking. Doesn't always get it perfect, but it sure saves my wrists from all that scrubbing... Hope it helps you too!

I've had mixed luck with dish soap myself... sometimes it works wonders, other times it just spreads the stain around a bit. One thing that's been surprisingly effective for me is hydrogen peroxide. I just dab a little directly onto the grass stain, let it sit for about 10 minutes (but not too long or it might fade colors), then rinse and wash normally. Might be worth a shot if you're still struggling with stubborn stains.

Hydrogen peroxide is definitely underrated for stain removalβ€”I've used it a few times myself, especially for blood stains. But I've always wondered about the long-term effects on fabric fibers. Have you noticed any weakening or thinning of the material after repeated use? I know it's great at breaking down organic matter (we use it in dentistry for disinfecting and whitening), but I'm curious if regular use might shorten the lifespan of clothes. Also, has anyone tried combining hydrogen peroxide with baking soda or vinegar? I've heard mixed things about that combo...

I've used peroxide quite a bit for blood stains (clumsy cook here, knives and fingers don't mix well...), and honestly haven't noticed much weakening of fabric yet. But I do dilute it slightly with water just to be safe. Tried mixing it with baking soda onceβ€”worked pretty well on stubborn stains, but vinegar and peroxide together felt kinda harsh. I'd probably avoid that combo regularly, just to keep my clothes from turning into dental floss, lol.

I've had decent luck with peroxide too, but honestly, cold water and plain old dish soap usually do the trick for me. Less worry about weakening fibers over time... and easier on sensitive fabrics. Might be worth a shot before reaching for harsher combos.
