Haha, the straw trick is pretty clever—I admire your commitment! Honestly though, I've found that rinsing my mouth with water right after drinking coffee helps a ton. It doesn't take much effort and seems to keep stains from setting in too quickly. Been doing this for years after whitening sessions, and my dentist always compliments how well the results hold up. Might be worth a shot if you ever get tired of the hot-straw scenario...

Gotta agree, your dedication is impressive...though sipping hot coffee through a straw sounds like a challenge! Rinsing with water afterward is definitely a solid tip—simple habits like that really do make a noticeable difference over time. Keep it up!

Haha, tried the straw thing once—ended up burning my tongue anyway. But yeah, rinsing with water right after is a lifesaver...wish I'd known that sooner. Might actually survive my next dentist visit now.

Totally agree about rinsing right after—it really makes a difference. One thing I've noticed with my kids is that timing matters too. If they drink juice or soda, I have them rinse immediately, but wait about 30 minutes before brushing. Apparently, acidic drinks soften enamel temporarily, so brushing right away can actually do more harm than good. Learned that the hard way after a dentist gently scolded me...oops. Anyway, small habits like these definitely help keep those stains away and dentist visits less stressful.

Great point about waiting before brushing after acidic drinks. It's something that's easily overlooked. Have you noticed any difference when your kids use a straw for sodas or juices? I've found it can help minimize contact with teeth and reduce staining risk overall. Small adjustments like that can make a surprising difference...though convincing kids to use straws consistently can sometimes be another story entirely.
