Got a deep cleaning coming up (scaling and root planing, ugh) and I'm debating between just using numbing gel or going for the full local anesthetic shot. Anyone tried both and have a preference? I'm kinda nervous about needles but also don't wanna feel too much pain, you know...

I've honestly been there—needles used to freak me out too, but after trying both, I'd say the shot's worth the brief pinch. Gel helps a bit, but doesn't cut it fully... trust me, comfort beats anxiety any day. You've got this!
