Lately I've noticed when my anxiety kicks up, I either go into full-blown stress cleaning mode—scrubbing tiles, reorganizing closets, the whole nine yards—or I try to slow down and do some mindful tidying, like calmly folding laundry or sorting through old papers. Both kinda help in their own way, but I'm curious which one you all lean towards when you're feeling anxious and why.

I totally relate to what you're describing. Personally, I lean more towards mindful tidying when anxiety kicks in. There's something really calming about slowly folding laundry or sorting through paperwork—it kind of grounds me and gives my mind something gentle to focus on. I've noticed that when I go into a cleaning frenzy, I initially feel productive, but afterward, I'm often exhausted and still a bit edgy. Mindful tidying, on the other hand, seems to leave me calmer and more centered afterward.

That said, I think both approaches have their merits depending on the situation. Sometimes, when anxiety is really intense, tackling something more physically demanding like scrubbing tiles can help burn off excess energy. But if it's more of a low-key anxious day, the slower tasks usually do the trick for me. It's great you've found value in both methods—maybe switching between the two based on how you're feeling at the time could be helpful?
