Yeah, I hear you on the shine thing. Mine looked amazing for the first couple years, then it just… lost its sparkle. I tried one of those “whitening” toothpastes too—honestly, I think it made my real teeth look whiter but made the bridge stand out more, which was not the goal. My hygienist said once the glaze is gone, there’s not much you can do except maybe have a dentist re-polish it, but even that’s temporary.
Coffee is definitely the culprit for me. I tried giving it up for a week, but let’s be real, I’d rather have a dull bridge than a caffeine withdrawal headache. Water flosser stories crack me up—first time I used one, I basically pressure washed my bathroom mirror. But yeah, they’re the only thing that really gets under there.
At this point, as long as food isn’t camping out under the bridge, I call it a win. I’d love that fresh-from-the-dentist shine, but I’ll settle for no weird smells and nothing wiggling. Function over fashion, for sure.
