Honestly, I found that just gently rinsing with salt water a few times a day made my mouth feel cleaner and soothed some of the soreness.

Yeah, the salt water rinse was a game-changer for me too. It’s such a simple thing but it really helped with that gross, fuzzy feeling after surgery. I tried the protein shakes as well but they just sat heavy in my stomach—Greek yogurt felt lighter and actually tasted decent. Popsicles weren’t bad either, especially for numbing things up a bit. Funny how you start to appreciate all those little tricks when your mouth feels like it’s been through a war zone.

Salt water rinse was my go-to too, especially in those first few days when everything felt sore and weird. I never really got into the protein shakes either—they just made me queasy. Greek yogurt and soft scrambled eggs were my staples. Popsicles helped with the swelling, but I always worried about too much sugar, so I stuck to the sugar-free kind. Funny how you start craving normal food after a week of mush...

Salt water rinses were a lifesaver for me too—just made everything feel cleaner. I tried protein shakes at first, but they sat so heavy in my stomach, I couldn’t keep them up either. Ended up sticking with cottage cheese and mashed avocado for a while. Popsicles did help with swelling, but I also worried about the sugar, so I’d sometimes just suck on ice chips instead. It’s funny—after a week of soft foods, even plain toast started to sound gourmet...

Totally get what you mean about the protein shakes—they just made me queasy too. I basically lived on scrambled eggs and applesauce for days. By day five, I was so desperate for texture that I actually craved those weird baby rice puffs... never thought I’d see the day.

Those protein shakes are rough for a lot of folks after implant surgery—honestly, I usually suggest skipping them if they make you queasy. Scrambled eggs and applesauce are great choices early on. Once you’re itching for texture, soft steamed veggies or mashed avocado can be a gentle next step. Just avoid anything crunchy or with tiny seeds that could get stuck around the implant site. It’s all about easing back in without irritating the area.
