I hear you, but I’ve actually had the opposite happen—thought I was just being paranoid, waited it out, and then it turned into a legit infection. The dentist said if I’d called sooner, it might’ve been an easier fix. Sometimes “normal” healing and “something’s off” look way too similar for my comfort. I’d rather bug the office than risk missing something important, even if I feel silly about it later. Guess some of us are just wired to worry more... but after a rough patch with dry socket years ago, I’m not taking chances.

Totally get where you’re coming from. I’ve hesitated to call before just to avoid extra costs, but honestly, peace of mind is worth it. Sometimes the line between normal and not is just too thin. Better safe than sorry, especially after a bad experience.

I get the peace of mind thing, but honestly, those calls can add up if your insurance doesn’t cover much. I usually wait it out unless there’s bleeding, weird pain, or something just feels really off. Most of the time, it’s just the stitches doing their thing. After my wisdom teeth, I freaked out over nothing and got hit with a bill. Just saying, sometimes waiting a day or two works out fine.
