"Have you tried denture cleaning tablets? They're gentle, effective, and no surprise minty-green stains... learned that the hard way myself."

Haha, minty-green stains sound like quite the adventure! I've never thought about denture tablets for my mouthguardβ€”interesting suggestion. Usually, I just stick to mild soap and water, but now you've got me curious. Do you find the tablets help extend the lifespan of your mouthguard, or is it mostly just for freshness?

Mine typically lasts around two years as well, but I agree, after about 18 months it starts feeling a bit loose and worn. I always wonder if that's just normal wear and tear or if I'm grinding harder than usual in my sleep (yikes). Maybe it's time I experiment with these tablets... at least to avoid any surprise color changes!

I've actually used denture tablets for years now, and while I can't say they noticeably extend the lifespan, they definitely keep things feeling fresher. Plus, no weird aftertaste like soap sometimes leaves behind... worth a try if you're curious!

I've been thinking about trying denture tablets too, but honestly, I'm a bit hesitant about chemicals and stuff. From what I've read, they're pretty safe and effective thoughβ€”definitely better than soap residue (yuck). My dentist recommended them as well, so that's reassuring. Maybe I'll finally give it a shot... anything to avoid that awkward moment when someone notices your mouthguard has turned a suspicious shade of yellow, haha.

I've been using denture tablets to clean my mouthguard for years now, and honestly, they're a total game changer. I get your hesitation about chemicals, but they're specifically designed to be safe for something that's going in your mouth every day. Plus, they're way better at removing stains and odors than regular soapβ€”I learned that the hard way after my grandkids pointed out my "gross yellow mouth thingy," haha. Definitely worth giving it a try... keeps it fresh and clear much longer.

True, denture tablets are generally safe and effective, but just a heads-up: over time, they can be a bit abrasive on softer mouthguard materials. I'd suggest alternating occasionally with a gentle cleanser to prolong its lifespan.
