I've noticed the same thing about denture tablets. When I first got my mouthguard, I thought I'd save some cash by using those tablets regularly—figured they're safe enough for dentures, right? But after about six months, I started noticing tiny scratches and a cloudy look on the surface. At first, I blamed it on cheap material, but after chatting with my dentist, she mentioned that denture cleaners can sometimes be a bit harsh on softer plastics.

Since then, I've switched to mostly using mild soap and warm water daily, and just occasionally popping in a denture tablet for a deeper clean. Honestly, it's made a noticeable difference. My current mouthguard is going strong at almost two years now, compared to barely making it past one year before. Just something to consider if you're trying to stretch your budget like me...

Yeah, denture tablets did a number on mine too. I thought I was being clever by using them daily, but my mouthguard looked cloudy and worn out way faster than expected. Switched to gentle soap and water like you mentioned, and it's been holding up much better. I'm at about 18 months now, and it still looks decent—lesson learned the hard way, haha.

Haha, glad I'm not the only one who fell for the denture tablet trick. Mine looked like it'd been through a dishwasher after just a few months. Switched to mild soap too, and now I'm pushing two years—still going strong, knock on wood...

I've been using mild soap from day one, and I'm around the 18-month mark now. But honestly, mine's starting to feel a little less snug lately, even though I've been careful with cleaning and storage. Curious if anyone else noticed theirs loosening over time? Wondering if it's just normal wear and tear or if I should get it checked out soon...
