I've been using those little dental pick things (the plastic ones with floss on one end and a pointy bit on the other) for a couple months now. Honestly, they're pretty handy, especially after meals when stuff gets stuck. But sometimes I wonder if I'm being too rough or something, because my gums feel kinda sore afterward. Maybe I'm just clumsy, lol. Does anyone else get this, or am I just doing it wrong?

You're definitely not alone—I started using those dental picks recently too, and at first my gums felt pretty tender afterward. Turns out I was pressing way too hard without realizing it. My dentist mentioned that you're supposed to gently glide the floss along the gumline rather than jabbing it in there like you're mining for gold, haha. Maybe ease up a bit and see if that helps? It worked for me, anyway...
