Just read this random article on my feed today about tongue scrapers and oral hygiene. Apparently dentists are saying it's good to scrape your tongue every day, but honestly, I only do it like once a week...maybe twice if I remember lol. Didn't even know daily was a thing. Curious how often others actually do this, or if I'm just slacking big time here?

Haha, you're definitely not alone! I used to be exactly the same—once or twice a week at best. But after getting into cosmetic dentistry stuff and chatting with my dentist, I started doing it daily. Honestly, it makes a noticeable difference in freshness and overall oral health. The tongue harbors a lot of bacteria that brushing alone doesn't fully remove, so scraping regularly helps keep bad breath away and even improves taste sensitivity (weird but true!).

But hey, don't stress too much about it. Even just upping your game to every other day can make a big difference. It took me ages to build the habit consistently...I still occasionally skip days when I'm super tired or rushed in the morning. We're all human, right?

I totally agree that daily scraping makes a noticeable difference. A lot of people don't realize how much bacteria actually sits on the tongue, especially towards the back. Brushing alone doesn't always reach that far effectively, so scraping really helps with reducing bad breath and plaque buildup.

But honestly, even as someone who knows better, I still slack off sometimes...life gets busy, mornings get rushed, you know how it is. I'd say 4-5 times a week is my average. And you're right about taste sensitivity—I didn't think it would make much difference either until I started doing it consistently. Food just seems to taste better somehow? Weird but true.

One tip I'd add is to scrape gently—some people go way too hard and irritate their tongues. It shouldn't hurt or cause bleeding; just a gentle pressure is enough to remove most of the buildup comfortably. Have you guys noticed a difference in your oral health after scraping regularly?
