I had dentures for about 4 years, and honestly, they weren't terrible but always felt kinda awkward when eating certain foods (corn on the cob was a nightmare, lol). Decided to bite the bullet and get implants recently. Procedure wasn't as bad as I expected, but recovery's been a bit rougher than I thought. Still early days though... anyone else gone through this transition? Curious if it gets better or if you ended up regretting it.
Went through the same switch about two years ago. Honestly, first month or so was rougher than I expected too...but once everything healed up, total game changer. Eating corn on the cob without fear is weirdly satisfying now, lol. Hang in there, it gets better.

Haha, that's a great way to put it. Did you find your bite strength improved noticeably after switching to implants? Usually, once the bone fully integrates around the implants (around 3-6 months), most people report a huge difference in comfort and chewing ability. If you're still feeling discomfort or sensitivity after a couple months, might be worth checking in with your dentist to make sure everything's healing as expected.
