Honestly, we tried switching toothpaste too, but didn't notice much difference right away... took a few weeks maybe? Not sure if it was worth the extra cost though; dentist suggested flossing regularly helped more in our case. Glad your kid's doing better now, gum issues can be so stressful.

Yeah, I totally get what you're saying about the toothpaste thing. I've been tempted to switch to some of those pricier brands myself, but always wonderβ€”is it really worth it? Seems like flossing consistently makes a bigger difference for me too. My gums used to bleed a bit, and honestly, just being more diligent with flossing made a noticeable improvement after a couple weeks. Gum issues can definitely be frustrating and stressful, especially when you're trying different things and not seeing immediate results... Glad your kid's doing better now thoughβ€”that must be a relief. Did your dentist mention anything about mouthwash or other products helping out, or was flossing pretty much their main recommendation? Curious if anyone else found something simple (and budget-friendly!) that worked well for them.

I've found flossing helpful too, but honestly, switching to a softer toothbrush made a bigger difference for me. My gums stopped feeling irritated almost immediately. Sometimes it's the simple stuff we overlook... expensive toothpaste never did much in my experience.

Yeah, softer brushes can help, but honestly for me it was switching toothpaste. Not the pricey stuff, just one without sodium lauryl sulfate... my gums chilled out pretty quick after that. Might be worth checking ingredients?

Interesting you mention sodium lauryl sulfateβ€”I had a similar issue a while back. Thought it was my toothbrush at first, but turns out it was actually mouthwash causing irritation. Switched to an alcohol-free one and things improved noticeably. Makes me wonder if it's not just toothpaste ingredients but other oral care products too... Have you noticed any difference with mouthwash or floss brands?
