I've been thinking about finally getting one of those fancy electric toothbrushes because, honestly, my dentist keeps nagging me about it. But now I'm stuck between Oral-B and Sonicare. I've read a bunch of reviews, and it's like half the internet swears by Oral-B's rotating heads, saying they clean better and feel more thorough. And the other half is all about Sonicare being gentler, quieter, and better for sensitive gums.
I don't have crazy sensitive teeth or anything, but I definitely don't want something that feels like a jackhammer in my mouth, you know? Also, battery life kinda matters to me since I'm lazy about charging stuff. I've heard Sonicare tends to last longer between charges, but Oral-B seems to have more affordable replacement brush heads.
If you've tried either (or both) I'd love to hear your thoughts. Which one did you end up liking better and why?
I've had both, and honestly, I lean slightly toward Sonicare. Oral-B definitely has that more intense clean feeling, but it can feel a bit aggressive at first—like you said, kinda jackhammer-y. Sonicare feels gentler and quieter, and the battery life is pretty impressive. I charge mine maybe once every two weeks? Brush heads cost a bit more, but Amazon usually has deals. Either way though, your teeth will thank you...electric brushes are game-changers.
I totally get what you mean about Oral-B feeling aggressive. When I first got braces, my orthodontist recommended Sonicare because it's gentler on sensitive gums. Took me a while to get used to the buzzing though...felt kinda weird at first. But now I'm hooked, teeth feel great.
