if it’s even a hair off, you feel it every time you chew

That’s spot on—occlusion is wild like that. Even a fraction of a millimeter can throw everything off, and your jaw muscles just won’t let it slide. I’ve seen people come in months later saying, “I thought I’d get used to it,” but that never really happens. Funny how the tongue turns into this hypersensitive sensor for any imperfection... Do you ever notice how some folks think they’re being a bother by coming back? I always say, if your bite feels wrong, trust your instincts.

That’s so true—it’s almost like your mouth has its own built-in alarm system. I always tell people not to feel embarrassed about coming back if something doesn’t feel right. You’d be surprised how often a tiny adjustment makes all the difference. It’s not being picky, it’s just listening to your body. And honestly, most of us would rather tweak it than have you tough it out and end up with jaw pain or headaches down the line.

Honestly, I thought I was losing my mind after my filling—my tongue kept poking at this one spot that felt just a little “off.” Like, nobody else could see or feel it, but it drove me nuts. I finally went back and the dentist barely shaved off anything, and suddenly everything felt normal again. Is it just me, or does anyone else get nervous about speaking up when something feels weird? I always worry I’m being dramatic...

That feeling of “am I just being dramatic?” is so real. I totally get it—after I got a crown, my bite felt just slightly off but I was weirdly embarrassed to mention it. Like, I kept telling myself I’d get used to it. Ended up going back and the dentist did a tiny adjustment, and wow, instant relief.

It’s wild how even the tiniest change in your mouth can drive you nuts. No shame in speaking up, honestly. Your comfort matters, even if it feels like a small thing.
