The saltwater rinse was a lifesaver for keeping things clean, but I honestly can’t say it helped much with the pain. I was super paranoid about food getting stuck too—like, every meal felt like a mini inspection. For me, I waited almost two weeks before eating anything remotely crunchy. Pizza was the holy grail but I was too anxious to risk it until the stitches were out.
