Here’s a random bit I learned after my apicoectomy—apparently, eating cold stuff like ice cream or yogurt can actually help with swelling and pain. I thought it was just an excuse to eat dessert, but my oral surgeon swore by it. Anyone else try this? Or did you have some other weird comfort trick that worked better?

Honestly, they tasted like sadness, but at least I didn’t worry about sugar sticking around.

That line cracked me up—so true. I was also super paranoid about infection, so I basically gargled salt water like it was my new hobby. Didn’t do ice cream either; cold stuff made my jaw ache. Maybe we’re just salt water overachievers?
