Saw this news segment yesterday about some dentist recommending singing songs or using apps to get kids brushing properly. Honestly, sounds cute but does it really work? My nephew still runs away screaming from toothpaste, lol. Anyone tried these methods?
I've seen those apps and songs recommended a lot lately, and honestly, I think it depends on the kid. My friend's daughter absolutely loves her brushing app—she gets excited about the little rewards and animations, and now brushing is way less of a battle for them. But my own niece? Nope, she saw right through it after two days and was back to hiding behind the couch every night, lol.
I think part of the struggle might be sensory issues with toothpaste flavors or textures. Have you tried switching toothpaste brands or flavors? My niece hated mint but did better with fruity flavors. Also, sometimes letting them pick their own toothbrush (like one with their favorite cartoon character) can help a bit.
Still, I'm curious if anyone's had luck with other creative methods besides apps or songs—maybe some kind of reward system or game?
