So my kiddo hates flossing, right? Last night I made up this goofy story about Captain Toothbrush battling the evil Plaque Pirates hiding between teeth. Suddenly flossing became an epic adventure. Anyone else got fun stories or ideas like this?

Haha, that's pretty creative. Reminds me of when I had braces as a kid - my mom turned flossing into a spy mission, sneaking past the "metal guards" to catch hidden villains. Worked surprisingly well... kids love missions and secret agents, apparently.
Could your kid pick a short song to play while flossing? Celebrate finishing each tooth, so it feels like progress without turning into a race. If a game has them rushing or skipping spots, a simple progress chart may work better. The fun part should help build a steady routine, not speed.
