Was just thinking about this the other day... imagine if your gums could actually speak up every time you lit a cigarette. Like, would they be all "hey buddy, knock it off, you're killin' me here!" or would they just silently suffer? I mean seriously, we know smoking messes with teeth and breath and all that jazz, but gums seem like the quiet victims. Curious how you'd react if your gums started giving you grief out loud every time you smoked...
Haha, honestly, if gums could talk, they'd probably be the most brutally honest part of our bodies. I've seen firsthand how smoking quietly wreaks havoc on gumsβreceding, inflammation, you name it. If they spoke up, maybe people would pay more attention to their silent suffering. Makes me wonder though, would hearing your gums complain actually motivate smokers to quit, or would it just become background noise after a while...?
