Finding a dentist for gum reshaping is harder than I thought

I've been looking into getting my gums reshaped (they're uneven and it's always bugged me a little), but man, finding the right dentist is turning into a total headache. Every website makes them sound amazing, but then you read reviews and it's like... mixed signals everywhere, you know? Feels like I'm picking blindly here. Has anyone else found this whole process annoyingly complicated, or am I just overthinking it?

Totally get where you're coming fromβ€”honestly, even working in dentistry myself, I've had moments trying to find specialists for family members and felt exactly the same. Reviews can be all over the place... trust your gut and maybe try a consult first?

Yeah, exactly my worry too. Do you think a consult alone is enough to judge their skill level though? I mean, how do you even know what questions to ask or what red flags to watch for... kinda overwhelming tbh.
