I get what you’re saying about genuine smiles looking better, but honestly, I still can’t help but notice my teeth in every single photo. Maybe it’s just me overanalyzing, but sometimes I feel like the “nobody notices” thing isn’t always true? Like, last week at my cousin’s birthday, someone actually commented on how “big” my smile was in a group pic—meant as a compliment, but it just made me hyper-aware for the rest of the night.

I’ve tried that “don’t overthink it” approach, but then I end up with this weird half-smile because I’m worried about showing too much tooth. It’s like a catch-22—if I relax, my teeth are everywhere; if I try to hide them, I look awkward. Anyone else feel like there’s no winning sometimes?

Maybe it gets easier with time or practice. Right now though, I’m still searching for that sweet spot between natural and not feeling self-conscious.
