I totally get what you're saying about the soft brushes—they always felt kinda pointless to me too, like brushing with feathers or something, haha. But honestly, I think it depends on how you brush rather than just the brush itself. My dentist kept nagging me about technique, and once I actually listened (shocker, right?), things improved quite a bit.

Saltwater rinses are great though, I've seen lots of friends swear by them. Personally, I found switching toothpaste made a noticeable difference. Some brands felt too harsh and irritated my gums, so experimenting with gentler formulas helped a lot. Home remedies are awesome for maintenance, but I wouldn't discount regular dental visits either—catching stuff early saves headaches (and wallet aches...) down the road.

Anyway, whatever works best for you is probably the right answer, since everyone’s mouth seems kinda picky in its own quirky way.

Totally relate to the toothpaste thing—had a patient once who swore her gums hated minty pastes. Switched to a milder flavor and boom, irritation gone. Everyone's mouth really does have its own quirks...glad you found something that works!
