Which is better for implant soreness: painkillers or just waiting it out?

I get the draw of painkillers—nobody likes hurting—but I’m not convinced they’re always necessary for implant soreness. Did you try icing or sticking to soft foods before reaching for meds? Sometimes, just a couple days of taking it easy does the trick. Obviously, if you can’t sleep or eat, that’s a different story, but I’ve seen folks bounce back fine without meds. Curious if anyone’s had luck with non-drug stuff like saltwater rinses or cold packs?

- After my implant, I mostly relied on saltwater rinses and ice packs.
- Soft foods helped, but honestly, there were a couple nights where the throbbing made it tough to sleep.
- Ended up taking Tylenol just twice.
- For me, waiting it out worked... but if pain had stayed that bad, I’d have gone for meds sooner.
