Yeah, I had the same thing with jaw aches—honestly, biting into a bagel felt like a workout for a while. For me, mashed potatoes and scrambled eggs were easiest to start with, but anything crunchy made my jaw sore at first. Did anyone else notice cold stuff was weirdly more painful? Not sure if that’s just me or what...

I totally get that—cold stuff made my teeth zing way more than hot soup did, especially after I got my crowns. Did you find it was worse with sweet things too, or just cold in general? For me, even ice cream was off limits for a bit.

Cold was brutal for me too, but sweets were almost as bad—anything sugary would just set my teeth off, especially right after the crowns went in. It’s weird because you’d think hot stuff would be worse, but nope, ice cream was a total no-go. Honestly, I started rinsing with warm salt water and that helped a bit. I still think dentists downplay how long the sensitivity can last... It took me a good month before I could eat anything crunchy without wincing.

Yeah, I hear you on the sweets—my wallet was already hurting from the crowns, so skipping dessert was a double blow. For me, it was chips that were the real test. Took about three weeks before I could crunch anything without flinching. Warm salt water definitely helped, and honestly, I stuck to soft foods longer than I wanted just to avoid risking another trip (or bill) at the dentist. Sensitivity lasted way longer than they said it would...

Totally get what you mean about the wallet pain—these crowns aren’t cheap, and then you’re stuck eating oatmeal for days. For me, it was pizza crust that nearly broke me... I waited almost a month before even daring to try. The dentist said “a week or two,” but my teeth were super sensitive way longer. Warm salt water was a lifesaver, but honestly, I think they downplay how long it takes to really feel normal again. Worth it in the end, but man, I missed crunchy stuff.
