When I had my jaw surgery last year, I thought I'd be stuck drinking protein shakes and broth forever, lol. But one thing that really helped was blending soups with avocado or coconut milk—made them creamy and filling enough to actually feel like a meal. Also, mashed sweet potatoes with a bit of cinnamon saved my sanity. Curious if anyone else found tasty hacks or recipes that made the liquid diet phase less miserable...

That's a great tip—sweet potatoes are packed with nutrients and easy on the healing jaw. Did you ever try blending bananas with peanut butter? It's surprisingly filling and tastes like dessert... Hang in there, you're doing awesome.

Mashed sweet potatoes were my jam too, but honestly, after a week I was desperate for something different. Ended up blending canned peaches with vanilla yogurt—cheap, tasty, and felt like a smoothie from a fancy café (almost). Peanut butter banana sounds good though...wish I'd thought of that earlier. Hang tight, it'll be over before you know it.

Haha, I remember those desperate blender experiments all too well... After my jaw surgery last year, I was so cautious about everything I tried. Honestly, I spent the first few days surviving on broth and apple sauce because I was terrified of messing something up or causing myself more pain. Eventually, though, boredom won out over anxiety.

My turning point came when my mom suggested blending soups that I'd normally never touch. I'm talking broccoli cheddar soup blended smooth or even tomato basil bisque thinned out with extra broth. At first, I was skeptical (and a bit grossed out by the idea of liquified broccoli), but desperation makes you brave, right? Surprisingly, they were actually pretty good—felt more like real meals than all the sugary smoothies and shakes I'd been drinking.

I also tried avocado blended with coconut milk and honey—it sounds weird, but trust me on this one. It felt nourishing and filling without being overly sweet. Peanut butter banana does sound amazing though; wish I'd heard about it sooner.

Hang in there...it feels endless now, but one day you'll realize you're back to chewing again without even thinking about it. Until then, keep experimenting carefully—you never know what random combo might end up being your new favorite comfort food.

Haha, blended broccoli cheddar soup actually sounds pretty good to me—maybe I'm weird, but I'd totally try that even without jaw surgery. I remember when my wisdom teeth came out, I got so sick of sweet stuff after a couple days. Savory soups and blended stews were lifesavers. Hang in there, you'll be back to pizza and crunchy snacks before you know it...and weirdly enough, you might even miss your blender experiments a little bit.
