Haha, your spaghetti and meatballs experiment made me smile. I've heard all kinds of blended food stories from my patients who've had jaw surgery, and honestly yours sounds pretty tasty compared to some of the concoctions I've come across. I remember one patient who was determined to have tacos—he blended taco meat, cheese sauce, and sour cream together. Said it tasted great, but the look on his wife's face suggested otherwise...

You're spot on about the pizza idea too. Cheese pizza with extra sauce would probably blend smoothly enough, though I can imagine the texture might still be a bit...unique. Still, it's awesome you're getting creative and finding ways to keep meals enjoyable during recovery. It really does make a huge difference in keeping spirits up—and trust me, your son will definitely appreciate the effort down the road when he's back to chewing normally again. Hang in there!

Haha, "unique" is definitely the right word. I remember blending lasagna after my surgery—tasted surprisingly good, but the texture was something else entirely. Have you tried any dessert blends yet? Milkshakes got old fast for me, so I ended up experimenting with blended cheesecake and pudding combos. Sounds weird, but it really helped break up the monotony.

Haha, blended lasagna sounds brave... I haven't ventured into savory blends yet, just can't get past the mental hurdle. Cheesecake pudding actually sounds decent though—did you blend in fruit toppings or keep it simple? Might have to give that a shot soon.

Cheesecake pudding is definitely a winner—smooth, tasty, and easy on your healing jaw. I've seen patients get really creative, blending in some strawberries or blueberries to switch things up. Fruit adds a nice freshness and extra vitamins, which are always welcome during recovery. And hey, savory blends aren't as scary as they sound...I promise! Maybe start mild—like creamy soups or even mashed potatoes watered down with broth—and slowly ease into more adventurous territory. You've got this.

Cheesecake pudding sounds amazing right now, wish I'd thought of that when I had my surgery. I mostly survived on smoothies and soups...got pretty tired of tomato soup by week two. Has anyone tried blending avocado into shakes? Wondering if that's tasty or just weird.
