That octopus comment is way too real... I swear, sometimes it feels like I need an extra wrist just to angle the floss back there. I used to think mouthwash was enough too, until I got a surprise cavity between my back molars a couple years ago. My dentist showed me the x-ray and it was right where the floss should’ve been getting to—total wake-up call.

I’ve tried a bunch of different flosses, and honestly, the soft tape kind is less annoying for me. Still not exactly “fun,” but at least it doesn’t shred or get stuck as much. I also started using one of those little water flossers. It doesn’t replace regular flossing, but it does help rinse out food when I’m tired or in a rush.

Weirdly, switching up the time of day I floss helped too. If I do it right after dinner instead of waiting till bedtime, I’m way less likely to skip it. Not a perfect system, but my last checkup was cavity-free, so I guess something’s working.
