Yeah, I’ve tried the saltwater rinse trick too—didn’t really do much except make me paranoid about every twinge. The tongue thing is impossible, right? It’s like your brain suddenly decides that’s the only thing it wants to focus on.

When my molar got loose after a nasty bite on a cherry pit (seriously, why do the pits always hide?), I went through the whole “maybe it’ll tighten up if I just leave it alone” phase. Spoiler: nope. I ended up doing this step-by-step approach—gentle brushing, soft foods, and avoiding that side of my mouth, but it just kept feeling weird and wobbly.

Eventually, my dentist did the same as yours—bonded it to the next tooth for a bit. It felt super strange at first, but I got used to it. At least I could eat real food again. Home remedies are fine for minor stuff, but once you’re googling “can teeth magically fix themselves,” it’s probably time to let the professionals take over. Wish teeth were as good at healing as skin, honestly...

I get where you’re coming from, but do you think we sometimes give up on home care too soon? I’ve had a couple of teeth that felt loose after a hard knock, and honestly, just sticking to soft foods and being super gentle did the trick for me—no dentist bonding needed. Maybe it depends on the type of injury? The tongue thing though…totally agree, it’s like your brain turns into a tooth detective and won’t stop checking.

I totally get the urge to just wait it out—honestly, I was convinced my wobbly tooth would just fall out if I even looked at it wrong. But after a week of panicking and living on yogurt, I caved and saw a dentist. Turns out, it wasn’t as dramatic as I thought… but the peace of mind was worth it. Maybe some teeth do sort themselves out, but my nerves definitely didn’t!

It’s wild how much anxiety a loose tooth can stir up, right? I see a lot of folks waiting it out and hoping for the best, but honestly, sometimes just getting checked saves a ton of stress. Did your dentist mention what might’ve caused it—like grinding or gum issues? Curious if anyone here’s tried those saltwater rinses people always talk about...
