I completely relate to the anxiety factor you mentioned. Before getting braces, I spent weeks researching costs and planning meticulously—thinking I'd covered every possible scenario. But just as you said...

...hit me hard when a root canal became necessary halfway through treatment. Honestly, monthly payments were a lifesaver for me too. It eased my stress knowing I had some flexibility rather than watching my carefully planned budget crumble overnight.

Totally understand where you're coming from with the anxiety and budgeting worries. Even as someone who works in dentistry, I faced my own surprise when my daughter needed braces. Thought I'd anticipated everything... then boom, impacted wisdom teeth halfway through treatment.

indeed! Monthly payments definitely softened the blow for us too—made it less overwhelming to manage the unexpected costs without completely derailing our budget. Glad you found a system that worked for you too.

Monthly payments can definitely ease the stress, but I'd argue there's value in saving upfront if possible. Setting aside funds beforehand—even partially—can cushion those

moments without adding monthly obligations. It's all about finding that balance, I suppose...

Totally get where you're coming from. I went the monthly payment route myself, and while it did ease the initial hit, there were definitely moments when I wished I'd saved a bit more upfront. Like when my retainer snapped unexpectedly—talk about "

Haha, yeah, those surprise dentist visits are the worst... I went the upfront route thinking I was being smart, but then my car decided it needed new brakes literally the next week. Goodbye savings! Now I'm kinda wishing I'd spread things out a bit. Did anyone else find unexpected expenses popping up right after committing to braces? Or is that just my luck?
