I wanted to fix a couple of slightly crooked bottom teeth—nothing major, just enough to bug me in photos. Here’s what I did: 1) Talked to my dentist about options (they suggested clear aligners), 2) Got a scan and started wearing them (honestly, they’re not as invisible as I hoped but way better than metal braces), 3) Wore them religiously except for eating/drinking, 4) Used the little chewies to “seat” them better, and 5) Did my best to keep up with cleaning because they get gross fast.

Honestly, it’s boosted my confidence already, even though I’m not done. Anyone find easier hacks or less annoying routines? Or maybe something I should totally avoid?

Totally get you on the cleaning part—sometimes I felt like I was brushing my trays more than my teeth. I found using a foaming aligner cleaner helped a ton, way less hassle than soaking every time. One thing I’d say to watch out for: don’t try to rush wearing new trays, even if you’re tempted. I did that once and ended up with sore gums for days. Did you ever feel like the aligners made your teeth more sensitive, or was that just me?

I hear you on the sensitivity—my teeth felt like they were starring in their own drama series every time I swapped trays. And don’t even get me started on the cleaning products. I tried those fancy foaming cleaners, but honestly, a cheap toothbrush and unscented soap did the trick for me (plus, my wallet thanked me). The chewies were weirdly satisfying though... kind of like stress balls for your mouth.

Totally agree about the chewies—they’re oddly addictive, right? I actually used them more than I probably needed to, just for that “pop” feeling. For cleaning, I stuck with clear antibacterial hand soap and a soft brush too. Those fancy cleaners felt like overkill and honestly, didn’t seem to make much difference for me. Sensitivity was rough at first, but switching to a toothpaste for sensitive teeth helped a ton. It’s wild how many little tweaks you end up trying before finding what actually works for you.

- The chewies thing is oddly true, I kept one at my desk and would absentmindedly use it during Zoom calls.
- For cleaning, I tried those dissolvable tablets but honestly, a quick brush with dish soap seemed to work just as well.
- Noticed my teeth felt sore some days—guess that’s normal? I switched trays at night so the ache hit while sleeping, which made mornings less annoying.
- Anyone else get tiny cracks in their aligners? Mine would sometimes split near the edges, not sure if I was being too rough or if that’s just how it goes.
