Okay, so imagine you're on keto and things are going great. You're dropping pounds, feeling energized... but then your partner casually mentions your breath smells like nail polish remover (um, ouch?). How would you handle this awkward situation? Gum, mints, something else?

Haha, yeah, keto breath is definitely a thing—it's actually acetone you're smelling, which is a byproduct of ketosis. Gum and mints can help temporarily, but honestly, staying hydrated and upping your water intake makes a bigger difference. Also, don't forget to brush your tongue regularly; it traps a lot of odor-causing bacteria. If it keeps being an issue, sugar-free mouthwash can be your best friend. Hang in there, it's usually temporary as your body adjusts!

Yeah, keto breath caught me totally off guard too. I remember the first time my sister pointed it out—I was mortified, lol. Hydration definitely helps, and I found that sipping on herbal teas throughout the day made a noticeable difference. Mint tea especially seemed to mask it pretty well. It does ease up eventually, but man...those early days were rough. Hang in there, you're definitely not alone with this one.
