So I went to the dentist yesterday, and she casually mentioned my favorite snacks (sour gummies and chips, you know, the good stuff) are basically wrecking my teeth. Um, anyone else had their snack habits ruined by dental reality checks?

Yeah, dentists have a knack for casually dropping those truth bombs, don't they? A few years back, mine gave me a similar wake-up call about my beloved caramel popcorn. I mean, I knew it wasn't exactly health food, but hearing how the sticky sugar was practically gluing itself to my teeth and inviting cavities was... sobering.

I didn't quit cold turkey (let's be real, who can?), but I did start rinsing with water right after snacking and chewing sugar-free gum to help neutralize acids. Also switched to less sticky treatsβ€”dark chocolate became my new best friend. Still miss that caramel crunch sometimes though. It's funny how dental visits can reshape your snack drawer...

Ugh, reading this thread is making me nervous. I have my first dentist appointment in years coming up next week, and now I'm mentally cataloging every snack I've eaten lately. Sour gummies are my weakness tooβ€”especially during late-night gaming sessions. I mean, I brush regularly, but who knows what damage is already done? Maybe I'll start rinsing with water after snacks like you mentioned... can't hurt, right? Guess I'll find out soon enough if my snack drawer needs an overhaul.
