Totally agree about the saline rinseβhonestly, I skipped the fancy antiseptic stuff altogether because it was pricey and my insurance wasn't covering it. Just warm salt water did the trick for me too. I also noticed that anything acidic (like tomato sauce or orange juice) was a big no-no for a few days. Bland foods like oatmeal and yogurt were my go-tos. Guess it's all about figuring out your own comfort zone... everyone's mouth seems to have its own quirks, haha.
Yeah, salt water definitely works well. One thing I'd addβkeeping hydrated really helps healing too. I sipped room-temp water all day, cold drinks made my mouth ache a bit... everyone's different, but something to consider.

Totally relate to this. After my biopsy, even room-temp water felt sensitive at first. Warm herbal tea (nothing acidic or minty) was my lifesaver. Hang in there, it gets easier day by day.

Did you find herbal tea helped with the swelling too, or just the sensitivity? I'm kinda nervous about drinking anything warm right after... worried it'll irritate things more. Did you wait a bit before trying it?
I was super nervous about warm drinks too, but honestly, lukewarm herbal tea ended up being my best friend. I waited maybe a couple hours after the biopsyβjust enough time for the numbness to wear off and to feel brave enough to try sipping something. Didn't notice much help with swelling, but it definitely soothed the sensitivity and irritation. Maybe start with room temp first and slowly warm it up? Did your doc mention anything about cold stuff like smoothies or ice cream? Mine recommended that too, but I wasn't sure if it'd be too intense...
