Gotta admit, I’m still on team manual for now. I tried an electric one last year—felt like my mouth was getting a power wash, and not in a good way. Maybe I’m just a control freak, but I like knowing exactly where the bristles are going. Plus, the buzzing made my dog bark every morning… not exactly peaceful. Might give it another shot if my hands start acting up, but for now, old-school works (and keeps the dog calm).

That’s hilarious—my cat just stares at me like I’m summoning aliens when I use mine. I switched to electric after getting braces, mostly because it was impossible to get around all the wires with a manual. Did you notice any difference in how clean your teeth felt after using the electric, or was it just too weird to get past?

I actually went back to manual after a few months with electric—couldn’t get used to the vibration, felt like my whole head was buzzing. Honestly, I didn’t notice a huge difference in how clean my teeth felt, but maybe my technique’s just stubbornly old school. The timer was nice, but the noise? Not so much...

Haha, I totally get that—felt like I was brushing with a tiny jackhammer the first week. I stuck it out for the timer, but honestly, I still miss my old-school manual some days. The noise is no joke... kind of ruins the peaceful morning vibe.

That buzzing sensation can be a dealbreaker, especially first thing in the morning when you just want some quiet. I had a tough time adjusting too—felt like my teeth were rattling for weeks. What helped me was switching to a softer brush head and trying a model with quieter settings. Still, I totally get why some folks stick with manual. There’s something comforting about the old routine, and honestly, if it keeps you brushing well, that’s what matters most.
