I totally get the anxiety about knocking stuff over—my countertop flosser took a dive more than once in the beginning, lol. But honestly, after a week or two, it just became part of the morning routine and I stopped bumping into it. Taping out dimensions sounds smart though; wish I'd thought of that before buying mine. Either way, you're being thoughtful about it, so I'm sure you'll find something that fits your space comfortably. Good luck!

Haha, I wish I'd thought of that too! Instead, I went full-on budget detective mode—spent hours reading reviews, watching YouTube comparisons, and measuring every inch of my tiny bathroom counter. After all that, I ended up going cordless mostly because of space constraints and price. Countertop models seemed great, but I just couldn't justify the extra cost or the precious real estate they'd take up.

Funny story though: when my cordless flosser arrived, I was so excited to try it out that I didn't fully charge it first. Rookie mistake. Mid-floss, it sputtered and died on me, leaving me standing there with water dripping down my chin and toothpaste splatters all over the mirror. Lesson learned—always charge fully before first use!

Anyway, after a few months of daily use, I'm pretty happy with the cordless choice. It's compact enough to stash away easily, and I can even toss it in my bag when traveling. The downside is definitely the smaller water tank—I have to refill it halfway through sometimes, especially if I'm being thorough. But honestly, it's a minor inconvenience compared to knocking stuff over or dealing with cords snaking around my sink.

Still, reading everyone's countertop experiences makes me wonder if I'm missing out on some extra pressure or features... Maybe someday I'll upgrade if I ever get a bigger bathroom (or win the lottery). Until then, cordless is doing the job just fine for me.

Haha, same here—I didn't even think about taping dimensions. Wish I'd read this thread before ordering mine. I went countertop because my dentist recommended something with stronger pressure, and honestly, I was nervous about cordless models running out of battery mid-use (your story confirms my fears, lol).

But now I'm dealing with a bulky unit hogging half my counter space. It's powerful for sure, but every morning I have to carefully maneuver around it to avoid knocking over my toothbrush or soap dispenser. Plus, the cord situation is a bit annoying—it's always getting tangled or caught on something.

I do appreciate the bigger water tank though. My hands aren't as steady as they used to be, and refilling multiple times would probably stress me out. Still, reading your cordless experience makes me wonder if I overthought it a bit... maybe cordless would've been fine after all?

At least it's doing the job—my gums feel healthier already, and my dentist seems pleased. But yeah, if anyone's still deciding, definitely measure your counter first or at least visualize how it'll fit into your routine. Lesson learned the hard way here too...

I totally get the countertop struggle—mine's a beast too, and I swear the cord has a personal vendetta against my soap dispenser. But honestly, cordless made me anxious. My friend had one die mid-floss (awkward!), and that story alone was enough to steer me clear. Maybe try rearranging your counter setup slightly? I moved mine closer to the outlet and tucked the cord behind a small basket—it helped a bit with the clutter anxiety...

I feel you on the cordless anxiety. Does anyone else worry about battery life constantly? I tried a cordless one briefly, and every time I used it, I was mentally calculating how long it'd been since the last charge. Not exactly relaxing, lol. Plus, my eyesight isn't what it used to be—trying to squint at those tiny battery indicators is no fun at all.

Your basket idea sounds pretty clever though. Do you find it easy enough to refill the reservoir with that setup? My countertop flosser is bulky too, and I'm always nervous about knocking something over when I refill it. Maybe rearranging things would help me too...but then again, change makes me anxious. Glad you found something that works for you, though. Small victories count!
